The Woodbridge Township Department of Health & Human Services will administer H1N1 vaccine to Woodbridge Township public school students (elementary, middle school and high school students) at designated clinics scheduled stating Friday, Dec. 11.

Woodbridge Township Health Director Dennis Green noted that the Health Department has received its full request of 14,000 doses of H1N1 vaccine.
The H1N1 vaccination program is voluntary. Parents must complete a consent form and accompany elementary and middle school children to the Health Department clinics (see schedule for specific clinic dates for specific school students). Consent forms have been distributed to public school students in letters from the Woodbridge Township School District and the Department of Health & Human Services - the consent forms must be completed by the parent(s) and the parent(s)/student must present the signed authorization consent when receiving the vaccination. There is no charge for the vaccination.

- Iselin Middle School Students

Wed., Dec. 16 ~ Woodbridge High School
- H1N1 vaccine will be administered at Woodbridge High School during the school day
Thurs., Dec. 17 ~ John F. Kennedy High School
- H1N1 vaccine will be administered at John F. Kennedy High School during the school day
Fri., Dec. 18 ~ Colonia High School
- H1N1 vaccine will be administered at Colonia High School during the school day
The Woodbridge Township Department of Health & Human Services previously administered H1N1 vaccine to students attending Mawbey Street School #1; Port Reading School #9; Ford Avenue School #14; Oak Ridge Heights School #21; and Robert Mascenik School #26. Students from those schools who did not receive the vaccine should contact the Health Department at 732-855-0600 x5010 to arrange for the vaccination.
Additionally, the Health Department previously administered H1N1 vaccine to at-risk and priority populations as identified by the New Jersey Department of Health & Human Services and the Center for Disease Control (CDC).
H1N1 vaccine was administered to children under the age of 18 with underlying medical conditions or illness, pre-school children, pregnant women, health care workers and elementary school-age children attending Woodbridge Township parochial schools.
