The Woodbridge Township Department of Health & Human Services will administer H1N1 vaccine to Woodbridge public school students 14 years-of-age and under with an underlying illness or medical condition, at a clinic scheduled on Fri., Nov. 13 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M., at the Woodbridge Township Health Center (2 George Frederick Plaza).

Health Director Dennis Green noted that the Woodbridge Township Department of Health & Human Services received 1,400 doses of H1N1 vaccine (of the more than 14,000 doses ordered) and is administering the vaccine to at-risk and priority populations as identified by the New Jersey Department of Health & Senior Services and the federal CDC – priority groups include children under the age of 14, pre-school children, and pregnant women. The Woodbridge Department of Health & Human Services previously provided vaccine to children aged six months to five years, pregnant women and students in non-public schools.
Mayor John E. McCormac and School Superintendent Dr. John Crowe, noted that letters and information regarding the distribution of the H1N1 vaccine to public school students 14 years-of-age and under was distributed to parents last week. Parents are encouraged to review the information and attend the Fri., Nov. 13 Health Department clinic to have at-risk children vaccinated.
