On Saturday, March 14, the Woodbridge Community Center hosted the Third-Annual Woodbridge Idol contest, sponsored by Dillon Music of Woodbridge. After four rounds of auditions and the semi-final round, a dozen Woodbridge Township teens were selected to move to the final round.
After performing before an audience of more than 250 cheering fans and a panel of judges, the “Final Four” were selected – Kiersten Morgan, Morissa Schwartz, Tyree Snell and Caitlin Meehan.
Each of the final four performed another number and then the audience voted. After much anticipation, Mayor McCormac and Emcee Harry Bernstein announced the 2009 Woodbridge Idol – Caitlin Meehan of JFK High School.
If you didn’t have a chance to hear these talented teens at the Community Center, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to enjoy their singing as Caitlin and the other finalists will be appearing at various functions, including the Mayor’s Summer Concerts.
