Mayor John E. McCormac today announced an interlocal services agreement with the Board of Fire Commissioners – Woodbridge Fire District #1 to install energy-saving solar panels at the Woodbridge Fire Department School Street firehouse as part of the Township-wide solar panel program.

655-Acre Keasbey Site designated as Brownfields Development Area

TRENTON - Department of Environmental Protection Acting Commissioner Mark N. Mauriello today announced that portions of Woodbridge, Lodi, Kearny, Plainfield, Rahway, and Somerville have been designated as state Brownfield Development Areas. The new designations will help the municipalities work toward their redevelopment goals.

Woodbridge announces buy local campaign

Mayor John E. McCormac today announced that Woodbridge Township continues to set the pace as a statewide leader in “green” environmental and sustainable initiatives by implementing a “Buy & Shop Local” campaign geared to provide shopping incentives to Township residents while offering support to local business and industry.

The “Buy Local” program also includes a “Green Business Directory & Recognition Program” for Township businesses that implement and employ “green” business practices.
