Mayor John E. McCormac today announced the official opening of Raritan Bay Medical Center’s Medical Pavilion at Woodbridge.
The 10,000 square ft. facility, located at 740 Route 1 North in Iselin, provides high-quality, urgent, non-emergent care, preventive health screenings and vaccinations. It is also home to Bay Obstetrics and Gynecology and comprehensive physical therapy services. The urgent care and preventive health components are available seven days a week including holidays and signify Raritan Bay Medical Center’s expansion into retail (or convenience) medicine.
“At a time when governmental, influential clinicians and professional health organizations are advising Americans to place greater emphasis on preventive medicine and better management of their chronic health conditions Raritan Bay Medical Center is providing area residents without a primary care physician a medical home for this care at the Medical Pavilion at Woodbridge,” said hospital President and CEO Michael R. D’Agnes. “Additionally, the convenience of walk-in appointments for urgent, non-emergent care eliminates the need to seek the same care in a more expensive and time-consuming emergency room setting.” Read more...
